Celestia's Redo (Part Three)

Celestia was in her office, writing a couple letters to her former student, Princess Twilight Sparkle.

She had also written up the speech she was going to give, and was deep in thought as Luna came through the office door.

“Sister?” The blue alicorn asked.

“Yes Luna?” Celestia replied.

“Are you ready to go over the speech and other things?”

Celestia nodded. “I have written the speech already, I plan on giving one before, and after the regression, so they understand you aren't trying to take over Equestria or some nonsense like that.”

Luna nodded and pulled a chair up to the desk, sitting next to her elder sister.

“Luna, I've been thinking, Will you be able to handle the sun and moon while I'm gone?” Celestia asked, her wing instinctively around the younger alicorn's shoulder once again.

Luna nodded “I may need some help, so it would be nice if you could bring Cadence here.”

Celestia jotted down a quick letter to her, and sent it. “I've been thinking, and I think I've figured out whom I want to be taken care of by.”

Luna looked up at her sister “And whom would that be?”

Celestia blushed a very tiny amount “I was thinking Twilight Sparkle, or Fluttershy. You know how good she is with animals, and how caring she is. I figured she'd be good with a foal too.”

Luna smiled and nodded “Yes, I believe she'd be a nice mother, even if it was temporarily.”

Celestia smiled back “Should I send a letter to them, and then send out messengers with the speech's time?”

Luna read over the letters “Yes, but what time are you planning the speech?”

Celestia smiled a little “Well, Today, if possible.”

Luna nodded “I'd include express tickets with the letters to Twilight and Fluttershy so they can be there for the speech.”

Celestia used her magic to conjure up a couple of express tickets for the rail-road to Canterlot, signed them with the names of the two mares, and wrapped the letters around them, sending them out. She scribbled down a notice to the presses of Equestria so they could be at the speech to record what was said.

Luna smiled “So I'm guessing the speech will be at around 6 PM?”

Celestia nodded.
“Somepony is going to be a very sleepy filly by the end of the day.” Luna teased, giggling softly

Celestia smiled and blushed, giving her sister a friendly nudge in the ribs “Oh stop it, you.”


They continued their daily duties, and before they knew it, the newsponies of Equestria were lining up at the palace gates, to get the best coverage of the princess' speech.

Twilight and Fluttershy were arriving at the Canterlot Train Station, having no idea why they were called to Canterlot.

Twilight was reading one of her favorite biology books, that was mainly based on Alicorns.

Fluttershy was sitting next to her, sunk back in her seat, trying to avoid the gaze of all the newsponies on the train, most of them with their eyes focused on the lavender alicorn.

Fluttershy whispered to Twilight “Ooh, Twilight, I just don't know about this... Something doesn't seem right, and I don't like it when that happens...”

Twilight peeked out from behind her book, the newsponies instantly averting their gaze.

She whispered to Fluttershy “I'm sure it's fine, there's no prophecies that predict anything crazy for the next 5 years or so.”

She dove back into her book, only to be interrupted a few minutes later by the conductor “We have arrived, please wait for your luggage in the lobby when you get inside!”

Twilight and Fluttershy got off the train, got their luggage, and headed to the castle.


Meanwhile, Luna was getting the spell ready for the speech.

“Sister, How old do you wish to be when the spell takes effect?”

Celestia thought for a bit, and decided 3 would be a pretty good age. “Three years old, if that's possible.”

Luna nodded, and read the spell a few times, going over it just to make sure. She had ordered some foal things prior, so either Twilight or Fluttershy would be prepared to take care of Celestia.

Luna looked up at her soon-to-be-younger sister “Celestia?”

“Yes sister?”

“When you come back from your vacation, will you do the same for me?”

Celestia brought her sister in close for a hug, rubbing her back “Of course Luna, of course.”

A guard knocked on the door, then opened it “Princess Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy have arrived, your majesties.” He said, standing at attention.

Celestia nodded to him “Thank you Flash Sentry, you may return to your post.”

The guard hurried off, and Celestia took a deep breath.

“This is it.” She said, a bit worried.

“Yes, it is.” Luna replied, getting up and walking to the door, her bigger sister following.

They walked in sync to the main dining room, the area usually used for these occasions.

Luna looked over to the guard on her left “You may let them in now, we are ready.”

The guard nodded and trotted off, and within a few minutes, the dining room was packed.  

Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle were sitting in the front row, directly in front of the princesses.

There was a bit of chatter among the newsponies, but the sound of Luna clearing her throat silenced them immediately.

Celestia straightened out her speech, and looked at the organized crowd. “We have brought you here today to announce that I will be taking a vacation.”

There was a collective gasp from the room's inhabitants.

“Now do not worry, Princess Cadence will be taking my place and helping Luna to rise the sun, and keep the castle in order.”

“My sister and I are very old, as all of you know. Our childhoods were very rough, and the fact that I have lived so long, and seen so many struggles has taken it's toll. Luna has found an age regression spell in the secret archives, and is going to turn me into a foal. The reason behind this is so I may re-try a piece of my foalhood, and relieve a lot of emotional stress that has built up in me lately.”

There was a surprised silence from the audience.

“Now as to you conspiracy theorists out there, Nightmare Moon is forever gone. That spirit shall never surface in my dear sister again, so you don't have to worry about something bad happening while I'm gone. And if anything does, Twilight-” She gave a meaningful nod to the lavender alicorn in the front row, who's jaw was wide open “- can reverse the spell's effects, and I can deal with the situation accordingly.”

“I shall return as a foal in a small amount of time, to prove that this is actually happening.” Celestia walked behind the curtain on the stage, Luna following her. There was a very bright flash of light as the spell was cast, and Luna emerged with a three-year-old Celestia on her back, the sun still on the foal's flank.
